Join the climbing team as a research participant attempting the summit of Putha Hiunchuli (7,246m) — and contribute directly to groundbreaking women's health research. Climbing experience required.

Participation Costs and Itinerary

The climb to the summit of Putha Hiunchuli is organized and led by a Nepalese, female-owned and operated expedition company. Approximate cost is $10,500, covering approximately 33 days including travel, accommodation, meals, guided support, and high camp logistics. A portion of your participation costs directly supports Nepali women's involvement in the expedition.

*All applications for trekkers and climbers are due July 30, 2026!

Approximate Itinerary

The first 3 days of travel will be by bus and plane from Kathmandu to Dunai, where the trek will begin.

Day 1: Dunai (2140 m) to Tarakot (2540 m)

Day 2: Tarakot (2540 m) to Barbung Khola (2890 m)

Day 3: Barbung Khola (2890 m) to Kakot Gaong (3280 m)

Day 4: Rest day Kakot Gaong

Day 5: Kakot Gaong (3280 m) to Panjung (4200 m)

Day 6: Rest day Panjung

Day 7: Panjung to German Base Camp (4500 m)

Day 8: German Base (4500 m) to Putha Hiunchuli Base Camp (4910 m)

Days 9-11: Basecamp research

Day 12-20: Acclimatization and climbing period (3 high camps)

Day 21- 27: ​​ Trekking back

Day 28 - 31: Travel back (flights and bus)​​
